Watauga County Farmers' Market
Saturday Morning October 11
The rain is expected to clear for this Saturday leaving us with a pleasant fall day for this week's Watauga County Farmers' Market. There will be live music from Whitetop Band and plenty of local goodies for everyone.
Faith Mountain Farm will have special muffins for the season including pumpkin muffins and Icelandic spice bread muffins to go along with pumpkins and gourds for decorating. They also have a good supply of honey for you to stock up on for the upcoming winter and spring. Blue Ridge Apiaries will be bringing Sourwood, WIldflower, Infused, and Creamed Honeys Saturday.
Frost is holding off so far for much of the area and you will be able to find a good selection of summer vegetables and flowers along with fall pumpkins and squash. Apples are plentiful as well as potatoes and onions.

Vendor of the week: William and Jeanette Edmisten
William and Jeanette Edmisten of Love Valle Farm are long time favorites at the market.
The market continues to negotiate with the Southern Appalachian Historical Association and the outlook for staying at our current location looks very good. We are very happy to be located in such a beautiful spot and appreciate the work done by our friends at SAHA to make this possible.
The Saturday market will continue through the end of October as usual. The holiday markets will be on November 19 and 26, the Saturdays before and after Thanksgiving, from 10 - 2. We appreciate the support the community has given these market days and know you will find something special to brighten your holidays.
The market is having great success on EBT acceptance, you can call 1-828-355-4918 for more information on using EBT at the market. Find us at the Horn in the West in Boone on Saturday mornings, turn next to First Citizens Bank on Highway 105 Extension and go to the top of the hill. Call WCFM manager Karen Bauman at 1-828-355-4918 or visit our website at http://wcfm.info for more information. We will be there rain or shine!
